Lovin this whole warm weather thing!

This is the closest I could get to Joe sitting in his chair, that is until I gave him a bottle.
The boy standing - no assistance, with his dog.

Hello, I didn't have time to wait for a video to upload today so here are some pictures I took of Joe towards the end of last week. He is doing well, he walks with a one finger hold all over the place. He is doing most of the balancing but the additional security of knowing that mom or dad are available to pull on should he need us seems to comfort him.

Ed and I did some work outside today. OK so Ed did a lot of work outside and I puttered around doing little things and running over to put Joe's hat back on or take the pointy stick away. I will try and get outside tonight and take some pictures so you can all see how hard Ed has been working. We are clearing out our old overgrown orchard. The poor fruit trees are being over grown and choked out. I want to start putting some of the wheel-barrow loads from the stalls in there to improve the soil so I can plant a shade garden next year. We are also going to put a bench under the hickory tree. It will be great when we get it done.

Ed also has started splitting the firewood for next year, he is really getting a lot done, oh I think I already mentioned that. Oh well, hubby needs all the cheers he can get for his hard work. Soon he will have to get the lawn mower out as well. Spring is here - Finally!

I have been doing the usual, house work and have actually found the time to work Lucy every night this week. With any luck I will be able to continue this and start riding her soon. The other critters are also doing well. The horses have almost finished shedding, thank goodness and the goats are quite happy to be out and running around the pastures. Joe loves to watch them play.

Oh, I almost forgot, one critter is making Ed and I crazy right now. Miss Pasha keeps finding ways out of the yard. She has gotten out four times now and she takes off to play with all the other neighborhood dogs. We now have to let her out and watch her like a hawk and bring her back in. Little twit, she has a 3-4 acre yard to play in and she insists on sneaking out of it. Hopefully we will be able to fix her little wagon and let her out with us when we do yard work. Jasper on the other hand is so good. Miss Pasha sneaks out and he stays in even though some of the places she has gone through he could use. Oh well, that's the difference between a terrier and a shepherd mentality.

I have to go out and put the horses in for the night. Hopefully I can get some more pictures later this week and maybe even a new video.
Love Nikki
